How To Setup Thermostat Presets
This article goes over how to set up presets for your thermostat using the Control4 interface. An application for this could be having different presets for a casita depending on if it is occupied by guests or not. Another example would be having a preset temperature range for your home when you are out of town on extended trips.
1. Access the thermostat you want to configure with a preset.
a. Select Comfort from the Favorites menu
b. If you have more than one Comfort device in your system, select the desired thermostat from the Comfort menu.
2. Open the presets menu
a. The presets menu can be accessed by selecting the icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
b. Once in the preset menu, you can choose between the available presets.
3. Creating new presets
a. By default, there are four presets to choose; however by selecting the pencil icon in the top right corner of the presets menu, you enter the modification menu
b. To create a new preset, tap the plus sign in the top right corner of the menu.
c. Enter a name and select all features and functions you want controlled by the preset.
i. The list of available features will depend on your combination of thermostat and HVAC system.
d. When you’ve completed entering the settings for the preset, hit next on the keyboard, and select done at the bottom of the screen.
e.The new preset is now available in yourpresets menu.
4. Editing existing presets
a. Enter the presets modification menu by tapping the pencil icon in the top right corner of the presets list.
b. From the modification menu, tap the arrow icon of the preset you’d like to edit.
c. From here you can edit the name and settings for the selected preset.
i. If editing the name, press the next button in the bottom right of the keyboard to submit the name change.
d. Select “Done” at the bottom of the screen when all settings are configured or press cancel to discard any changes and keep the preset as it was.
5.Deleting presets
a. Enter the presets modification menu by tapping the pencil icon in the top right corner of the presets list.
b. From the modification menu, tap the arrow icon of the preset you’d like to delete.
c. Tap the trashcan icon in the top right corner of the screen.
