Video Distribution

This document covers the most effective way to manage a video distribution system.

  1. If the desired content you wish to distribute is not currently playing anywhere in the system, otherwise skip to step 2:
    1. Choose one of the rooms you will be broadcasting the desired content.
    2. Select the desired device from the watch menu.
  2. There are multiple methods to begin pushing the same broadcast to multiple “zones.”
    1. From the virtual remote interface:
      1. Select the “room add” icon from the top right corner.
    2. From the media bar located at the bottom of the Favorites Menu:
      1. Expand the media bar to view its quick access functions.
      2. Select the “room add” icon from the bottom left corner of the media bar.
    3. From the sessions menu located in the top right corner of the Favorites Menu.
      1. Select the “room add” icon from the bottom left corner of the session you want broadcast to multiple zones.
  3. Selecting the “room add” icon in any of these locations will bring up a list of all the rooms capable of playing this device.
    1. Select the checkbox next any room you want to broadcast the selected content.
    2. Upon adding a room, a slider will appear to allow for immediate control of the added room’s volume.
    3. When all the desired rooms have been added, select done at the bottom of the menu.
  4. In the “room add” menu, rooms will have a subtitle indicating what they are already playing if they are not currently off.
    1. The room’s current broadcast can be overridden by selecting the associated check mark.
    2. Unchecking a room in the menu will turn off the room.
  5. If multiple broadcasts are being pushed to multiple screens, the easiest method of control will be via the sessions menu.
    1. Select the sessions menu from the top right corner of the Favorites Menu
    2. Rooms can be added to a session or sessions can be ended by selecting the power button in the upper right corner of the session tile.
    3. Individual rooms can also be manipulated by selecting the drop down arrow in a session tile.
  6. If you need to turn off the entire system, the power button in the top right corner will turn off all TVs and audio.
    1. When selecting the “all off” function, you will be asked to confirm.
